Arsenal has announced on its website that the Europa league match between home team  FC Vorskla and Arsenal, that was originally scheduled to be played in Poltava, has now been relocated to the Ukraine capital, Kiev.

According to Arsenal, UEFA’s Emergency Panel took this decision on safety grounds, due to the current tension between Ukraine and Russia, which has led to the martial law being introduced in parts of Ukraine.

It added that they are currently working closely with UEFA and the relevant authorities to ensure the safety and welfare of all Arsenal supporters who plan to travel, or have already travelled to Ukraine.

The match will now take place at the Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kiev on Thursday, November 29, with kick-off at 5.55pm UK time (7.55pm local time).
