The presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Obi Ezekwesili, has named Alhaji Ganiyu Galadima as her running mate for the 2019 Presidential election.
In a post on her official Twitter handle to announce her decision, she described Galadima as a rugged grassroot fighter who would supplement the things she knew and would teach her how to be a consummate politician.
The 54 year-old Galadima, who is also the national chairman of the ACPN, was a presidential candidate in the 2015 general elections.
Her statement reads:
“Meet the ACPN Vice Presidential Candidate: Alhaji Ganiyu Galadima. A former presidential candidate, he is a community builder & grassroots organiser par excellence, with proven integrity and character over his years in Nigerian politics.
“I have a rugged grassroot fighter as the person who will supplement the things that I know. He will teach me how to be a consummate politician.
“Alhaji Abdulganiyu Galadima is definitely known for the work he has done at the grassroots level. As someone who started a strong career in local government, he is the kind of person I need, for us to lift 80 million people out of poverty.”
