According to reports, PSG has held talks with both Arsenal and Ramsey to take the Welsh midfielder to Paris once the Winter Transfer Window opens in a few days time.
Ramsey had hinted earlier in the summer, once Arsenal made it clear that they weren’t offering him a new contract anymore, that he was prepared to run down his current contract and leave for free in the summer.
However, authoritative French publication L’equipe is now reporting that, instead of waiting till the summer where there is likely to be a lot of European elites willing to take Ramsey on a free, PSG is offering Arsenal a fee in the region of £9m and £18m to secure his services in January.
The report went as far as saying that talks between all three parties were already at an advanced stage.
The thinking is that PSG want to replace Adrien Albiot, who incidentally has been linked with Arsenal, with Ramsey. The French midfielder has made it clear to PSG he wants to leave Paris and advance his career elsewhere.
Ramsey, who just turned 28, has not been a regular in Unai Emery’s Arsenal side this season and was again only a substitute in yesterday’s draw at Brighton.
